Meet Our Providers

Doctor Casey

Janet R. Casey, M.D.

Dr. Casey is the owner of Legacy Pediatrics where she practices primary care and as a sub specialist consultant. She has published numerous articles and chapters on ambulatory pediatric infectious disease topics.

Fun Fact

Despite her diminutive size, Dr. C is a tri-athlete. A former gymnast, she is an avid runner, cyclist and swimmer. She trains and competes on a regular basis, enjoying some aspects of her new empty-nester lifestyle, especially the clean house and the lower food bills.

Doctor Pichichero

Alice L. Taylor, M.D.

Dr. Taylor has been in private practice in Rochester for 16 years as well as serving as Medical Director of the Special Care Nursery at Highland Hospital. Her special areas of interest are newborns and adolescents; but she loves all ages in between!

Fun Fact

Dr. Taylor has a mild obsession with MacKenzie-Childs and can be found every year in July in line at their annual barn sale. Her daughters have grown to love it too, and it has turned into their annual family camping trip; Dad excluded.

Dominique J. Bandari

Dominique J. Bandari, M.D.

Dr. Bandari has experience as a Primary Care Pediatrician and Nursery Hospitalist. She also holds a Masters in Health Sciences, and is dedicated to all aspects of her patients’ care.

Fun Fact

Dr. Bandari loves to travel and visit new places. She is very passionate about the pre-trip planning process, making sure no highlight is missed! She has been lucky enough to visit over 35 countries, and couldn’t be happier to call Rochester her home.

Kate Shand

Kate D. Shand, PA-C, IBCLC

Kate is a Clinical Instructor for the PA Program at RIT. During her training, she completed multiple rotations including orthopedics, surgery, OB/GYN, neonatal ICU training, pediatrics, internal medicine, geriatrics, emergency medicine, psychiatry, and inpatient medicine.

Fun Fact

Kate is a cool calm confident part of the Legacy Pediatrics team but that all goes out the window when she roots for the Buffalo Bills. She can be found on Sundays yelling at her TV in an uncool, uncalm, & unconfident manner, scaring her husband and 2 young sons while doing so.

What Others Are Saying

Legacy pediatrics has THE most caring and compassionate staff I have ever experienced. Not only do they treat my child, but they know my child. It feels more like visiting a friend than visiting a doctor’s office.- Libby & Brendan Hurley

I have been nothing but thrilled with the care my boys have received at Legacy Pediatrics. From dispelling my overwhelming fears of being a new parent to accurately treating my children and educating me about my children's illnesses, the staff at Legacy does a fantastic job of taking care of both their patients and their patients' parents. My boys are part of the Ear Immunity study. I feel this has given us an added level of care as my boys are involved in cutting edge research. Dr. Casey is the best in the area and has surrounded herself with a staff to match her high quality. There is a sense of ease knowing that your child is receiving the best possible care. We have recommended Legacy to many of our family and friends and they all share our sentiments that there is no better pediatric office around.- Emily and Jay Nudds
