At Legacy pediatrics, we provide comprehensive medical care from birth through young adulthood. We have experienced nurses and providers who treat a full range of medical issues, whether chronic, or acute as well as having subspecialty expertise in hematology, outpatient infectious diseases, newborn care, development pediatrics, lactation and mental health. Our practice is small, and we strive to stay that way so we can provide individualized care to our patients.
Monday – Friday: 8am-5pm*
*phones are off for lunch between 12-1pm daily
Weekends: See below about Telehealth visits
Walk in hours are designed to provide efficient care of common illnesses of short duration. You do not need to call ahead or schedule an appointment. Simply show up at the office during the “walk in hour”. You will be seen on a first-come-first-serve basis. Although we make every effort to see all who arrive, we reserve the right to triage or have you schedule an appointment if the problem is chronic or too complex for the walk in hour
On weekends, we have TeleHealth Visits available thru our patient portal. A provider will have an hour on Saturdays and an hour on Sundays available to schedule an acute visit for your child via phone, tablet, or desktop computer. Access our telehealth page for more information. YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE PATIENT PORTAL TO SET UP THIS APPOINTMENT ON THE WEEKENDS.
We are available 24 hrs a day and we can be easily reached by calling our office number after hours. In addition to a physician or PA on call, we utilize a nurse triage system that follows national guidelines for pediatric urgent complaints. The nurses always have the ability of getting ahold of the on call physician or PA.
Legacy Pediatrics uses evidence-based medicine to guide our treatment of our patients. This is important when discussing vaccines. We vaccinate all our patients on time and per the CDC and ACIP guidelines. We do not accept patients who refuse to vaccinate or would like to do alternative schedules.
